Berneck conducts the complete rotation of the forests; since the production of seedlings on to the final cut, with a well planned sustainable yield in cycles of 20 years.

In its forest areas in the state of Paraná, that amount up to 55 thousand hectares, Berneck performs pruning and thinning in order to obtain high value logs that generate better quality wood and maximizes the forest’s production.

We produce 2.8 million seedlings of Pine (Pinus taeda) per year. For the production of the seedlings, Berneck invests in the best genetic material available in the market.

Berneck grows Pine since it is a forest species that adapts very well to the soil and southern Brazilian weather. Here, this species grows up to three times faster than its place of origin, North America.
