Tectona grandis is a very distinguished tree, native from Southeast Asia. Berneck has been planting this outstanding species with excellent results in its forest areas in the state of Mato Grosso.

Berneck began its teak reforestation in 1990, with a small experimental area of 9 ha. The experience brought good results, therefore The Company continued to plant in larger areas. Today Berneck has planted more than 3 thousand hectares.

Certifications All activities of Berneck’s teak plantation is done together with Ibama - Brasilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources - who follows all movements of the reforestation areas.
